The RYBA Traveling Program provides an opportunity for 4th-8th grade Boys and Girls to participate in a more competitive environment against other area traveling teams.

Traveling basketball is more time-intensive than In-House basketball. If your child is trying out for a traveling basketball team, please be aware that traveling basketball requires a minimum of 2 (90 Minute) practices weekly and up to 10 weekend tournaments during the season.

It's possible that not all players trying out will make a traveling team. It is for those individuals with a desire to develop their basketball skills and compete at a higher level.

Athletes in 4th-8th grade who reside or attend school in the Roseville High School attendance area as identified by the Roseville school district.

Traveling tryouts are held in August. The Travel season begins in mid-October and runs until the Grade State Tournaments in February to mid-March.

Practices are held at various schools in the Roseville area. Games are played across the metro region with one out of town in November.

Practice begins in mid October and is held at Roseville area schools. Depending on gym time, expect 2 -3 practices per week, between 6:00 and 9:00 pm.

Teams will play in 9 to 11 tournaments beginning in November and ending with the state tournaments in February/March. Expect 3-5 games during a tournament weekend. Tournament games can be scheduled on Fridays through Sundays and are held at various tournament sites throughout the metro area.

Travel players are required to purchase a uniform set. Players do keep their uniforms, and we try our best to keep uniforms consistent from year to year in an effort to keep costs lower for families.
