RYBA offers a robust Financial Aid program for all leagues and age groups. Our program is open to players who live or attend school within the ISD623 district boundaries. Those who qualify for Reduced Lunch or Free Lunch are eligible to pay a discounted amount for the RYBA registration fee (In-House & Little Hoopers). Travel players have their Travel Fee waived in full (but must pay the full registration fee). This program applies to public school, private school, and home-schooled families.
If interested, please complete the below RYBA Financial Aid form and send a copy along with your family eligibility verification letter to the RYBA Registration contact, Stephanie Kirchhoff (email@example.com).
**NEW** RYBA will be hosting "Fall Tuneup" sessions for all RYBA players! These have been implemented for additional gym time for players and to get them into "basketball shape" before the season starts.
One session is left on September 25th from 6pm to 8pm at Roseville Middle School (NOT ROSEVILLE AREA HIGH SCHOOL).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FALL TUNE UP SESSIONS WILL BE OPEN TO ALL RYBA PLAYERS - REGARDLESS IF THEY PLAY TRAVEL OR NOT.
Thank you to all of the families that participated in tryouts for RYBA Travel Basketball!
Tryouts have concluded and all rosters will be posted on the RYBA Travel Website by the end of the day on Friday, September 20th.
Please feel free to reach out to the Boys Travel Director (Chris Bloomquist /
firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Girls Travel Director (Jason Grosse / Jgrosse74@gmail.com ) with any questions or concerns.
RYBA has teamed up once again with Positive Coaching Alliance Minnesota to prepare our coaches, athletes, and families for another season of competition. This fall all travel players and a guardian are required to attend one of two sessions. Coaches will attend a separate session.
We also invite (and encourage!) anyone in the in-house program to attend these informative sessions. Sessions are scheduled as follows:
Option 1: 10/3 from 7:15 - 8:45 at Fairview Community Center
Option 2: 10/6 from 6:00 - 7:30 at RAMS
Coaches Training: 10/6 from 6:00 - 7:30 at RAMS
If you are unable to attend, please contact Mara Mashek at email@example.com. Please put PCA in the subject line.
Did you know RYBA is a volunteer driven organization? Everything we do is managed by a small team of volunteers who care about creating a successful basketball program for our community and kids. We receive no funding or support from the city, the state or the school district. Everything we do is managed by volunteers and powered by dollars we raise.
RYBA is a BIG organization. There are over 600 families who participate in our activities. Looking into the new season, we know there are things we can do better. We appreciated the feedback we received from your post-season surveys. However, there is only a small group of active volunteers, and if we really want to continue to grow, help our players, and attract more hoopers, we need you. Turnover is inevitable as kids age out of the program or interests change. Without new volunteers, our program will not grow or succeed.
By generously giving a couple hours of your time, you can make a huge impact on this program (and secure your mandatory volunteer hours for the season).
Here are a couple opportunities we currently have available:
- Skills/Strength Conditioning Coordinator
- Coach or Assistant Coach
- Gym Coordinator
- Concessions Coordinator (Girls Tournament)
- Concessions Coordinator (Boys Tournament)
Please take a moment to reflect on what RYBA means to your family, and how together we can become even stronger. Again, if we do not have people to oversee some of these programs, they will simply go away. Current volunteers are already managing multiple duties, and cannot stretch themselves any further. We need you! Please contact RYBAHoops@gmail.com to learn more today.
RYBA is always looking for sponsors within the community in order to provide our children with the best possible experience. If you are interested in sponsoring RYBA, click here for more information.
